Weekly mowing in DFW is priced by how much turf you actually have, not by the size of your lot on paper. A house and driveway take up a large share of most suburban lots, so the number that matters is the grass we are cutting.

Most homes fall into three brackets, and we quote from your address rather than making you guess. Every-other-week service costs more per visit than weekly, because there is more growth to cut and it takes longer.

• Mow at the right height for your grass type and the season
• Edge every walk, drive, and bed line
• Line trim around trees, posts, and fences
• Blow every hard surface clean, including the street
• Bag or mulch clippings depending on growth and time of year
• A quick look at the yard, so you hear about irrigation or drainage problems early

That last one matters more than it sounds. We are on your property every week. Broken heads, dry spots, and water pooling where it should not are the kind of thing we catch months before you would.

Because cutting too short is the most common reason a North Texas lawn struggles in August.

Bermuda wants to be cut short, roughly 1 to 2 inches. St. Augustine wants to be tall, 3 to 4 inches, and scalping it is how you get bare patches that never fill back in. Zoysia sits in between.

Cutting too low exposes soil to direct sun, which dries it out fast, raises soil temperature, and hands weeds an open invitation. Taller grass shades its own roots and holds moisture, which is exactly what you want in a Texas summer.

We also raise the height going into the hottest stretch and drop it back in fall. A crew running one blade height all year on every yard is a crew making your lawn worse.

Weekly from about March through October, when Bermuda and St. Augustine grow fast enough that skipping a week means cutting off too much at once. Removing more than a third of the blade at a time stresses the plant.

Every other week works in the slower parts of the season, and for lawns that are mostly shade. Through winter dormancy most lawns need very little, and we scale service back rather than charging you to cut grass that is not growing.

We route by neighborhood rather than by city, because that is what makes a reliable schedule possible. A crew that stays inside one community all morning arrives when it said it would. A crew crossing the metroplex does not.
